pRITIVI NARAYAN SHAH
Prithvi Narayan Shah was the last king of the Gorkha Kingdom and the first monarch of the unified Kingdom of Nepal, also referred to as the Kingdom of Gorkha. He is credited with initiating the unification of Nepal and relocating the royal seat of power to Kathmandu.

MAHENDRA SHAH
Mahendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev was King of Nepal from 13 March 1955 until his death in 1972. He led the 1960 coup d’état, in which he dismissed the government, jailed other political leaders, suspended the constitution, banned political parties, and established series of developements in Financial, Cultural, Social, and meny more sectors you name it.

BIRENDRA SHAH
Birendra ascended to the Nepalese throne on 31 January 1972, at the age of 26, after the death of his father, King Mahendra. However, his coronation was delayed until 24 February 1975, when he was 29, since the first year was considered to be a mourning period for death of king’s father and the second year was deemed to be inauspicious by religious astrologers. As a Hindu monarch, he had to follow Nepalese tradition.

GYANENDRA SHAH
Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev is the last King of Nepal who ruled from 2001 to 2008 when the monarchy was overthrown. He briefly held the throne as a child between 1950 and 1951, when his grandfather Tribhuvan and his family fled to India for political reasons.
